Fillers
Hyaluronic Acid and Calcium Hydroxyapatite fillers are used to replace lost volume in the lips and face. Depending on the area being treated, Hyaluronic Acid fillers may be used as opposed to Calcium Hydroxyapatite fillers, or vice versa. These are carefully placed using needle and/or cannula technique to create a subtle enhancement of your natural features. Our injector is skilled in knowing what filler options are appropriate for each treatment area and will help you to decide what will help you achieve your aesthetic goals while maintaining a natural, soft look.
Frequently Asked Questions
How much filler will I need?
How much filler you need will partially be determined on your aesthetic goals. At Vesta Aesthetics, we like to start "low and slow" to make sure that you have the most natural look possible while still meeting your aesthetic goals. This will be discussed at your appointment, but lips typically require one syringe or less, while other areas in the face may require multiple syringes of filler.
How long do fillers last?
The duration of filler varies somewhat depending on the type of filler used and individual client variabilities. Most fillers last up to 12 months.
Is it painful to get fillers?
Some areas, especially lips, are uncomfortable. For lip filler, a topical anesthetic is used, and a dental block may be given for a small additional fee. For any area of filler, a vibration tool is used to help lessen the discomfort. It is suggested to use ice after injections to help with pain and swelling.
How long is the recovery?
There is minimal downtime after receiving filler injections. Some swelling and bruising in the area is normal, and you may prefer to take some social downtime. If you experience abnormal pain or excessive bruising please contact the clinic to be re-evaluated. You should allow 2 weeks for all swelling to completely resolve and healing to complete. Filler should not be done within about 2 weeks of any important event.
What is the difference between a lip flip and lip filler?
A lip flip is done by injecting a neuromodulator around the lip to soften the muscle and allow more of the lip to show, while lip filler adds volume to the lips using hyaluronic acid filler.
How much does filler cost?
At Vesta Aesthetics we charge $550/syringe.
